Once again Optimum has released a beautiful release with average sound quality. I know that recently we've been spoiled by the soundboard stuff coming out from other companies. A few years ago I would have been amazed by a release like this, but a number of companies have raised the bar. This is a fun aftershow, again with Larry Graham stealing some of the spotlight. The War is performed for about 10 minutes. Larry provides some vocals on Hair.

Dale's Comments (rates this release 3/5.0)
This is pretty good compared to a lot of recent aftershows. Even though the sound quality isn't fantastic, it isn't too bad either. Aftershows are often harder to get great copies of, with a few well known exceptions. ;) This one actually benefits from a rather lack luster crowd, but not a similarly lack luster performance necessarily. Optimum may not be on par with the 2 "Big Boys" yet, but they are improving, and have come a long way since Face Down. At least I 'hope' they won't slip back that far again.

What a great little release. Okay, the sound qualityis not prefect, but the show is fun and the packaging is, well, fun, ireverant. Disc one is label 'Larry Free' while disc two sayz 'caution: contains Larry-additives!', :) The sleeve aslo contains am anti L$OA message, worth a read.

The show is very enjoyable. A fairly arrange tracklisting for shows from late 1998, but a great preformance. The overall sound quality is good, but a little bassy for my tastes. A little audience noise, but nothing too distracting. I hope more release from Daft Phunk find there way to my collection. This disc is da bomb. :)
